The liver is the only organ that can actually regenerate damaged areas. My suggestion would be to begin by eating more yellow and orange vegetables and using yellow herbs (like ground turmeric) in cooking. I would add milk thistle (a whole herb formula not a processed one) and/or burdock root as a daily supplement. Both herbs can clean out and then aid the liver in its own restoration. I would advise that you keep in mind that the liver holds anger so in your efforts to detox your liver, you may find old memories/situations coming to mind that need to be cleared. If things get a little rough, you might consider adding Rescue Remedy (Bach Flower Essence) to your daily routine.
