That is a good question, it all depends on a lot of factors I would think. You have to first assess your present situation. Do you have one or more people that you know at work or in another social arena that dislike you in any way, or would want harm to come to you? If so, this may be some form of jealous act or hate crime and someone may be either trying to scare you, or hurt you in some way. This could be a targeted act of violence. On the other hand, if you find yourself in the middle of lets say a crossfire between another individual. This could be just a random event, targeted at another individual and you just happened to be at the wrong place, at the wrong time. Remember there are a lot of individuals out there walking around, who need psychological help and often do not seek it. You may randomly be attacked by a mentally incapacitated individual, basically because they are having a bad day and you are the one, they happen to run into on the way home and want to harass. Otherwise, I would just keep aware of your surroundings everyday and keep familiar with the areas outside of your home and or at work. See if there are strangers in the neighborhood, who have been hanging around for a few days or more or those who look like their up to no good or suspicious. If worse comes to worse, higher a body guard if you can afford one, or hire a friend to frighten and individual who may be thinking about trying to harm you. They will in turn think twice about their actions. I hope this had helped you somewhat in answering your question. And for the life of me, I know many people have various reasons for wanting to harm other individuals, but for the life of me, cannot understand why they would want to hurt a fellow human. Good luck to you!
