Well, as there are two sides to every coin there are varying degrees of opinions of one's self. I suppose it is of what level of conscience that you are allowing to judge.
As the ego operates based on the reality principle - it would tell me that I am intelligent, but have trouble containing my emotions. It would tell me that I am proud of my achievements but knows that I have not reached my goals in most aspects of my life.
Whereas my Superego (the aspect of personality that holds all of our internalized moral standards) would tell me that in comparison to most of society that I have come in contact with that am elite. That my intellect and performance (when compared to others I have come in contact with) is superior.
So I guess the short answer would be that I'm awesome, but part of me wants to be much better.
