   I would say smoking, because smokers smoke every day and it isn't something you can really do without getting addicted to it.  Yes, there are alcoholics who endanger their health drinking regularly, but many of us can take a drink or two now and then and not have adverse reactions.  In fact, in extreme moderation alcohol has some healthy benefits (the resveratrol in red wines for instance reduces the risk of heart attack)  There is absolutely no benefit to lighting up a cigarette ever for any reason.

   Smoking leads to more ailments, causes the person to age faster and causes free radicals in the body. Smoking also hurts non-smokers.

   Death from smoking is more drawn out, but there are plenty of drunk driving accidents. I think it's directly alcohol or caused by alcohol for more deaths.

   It all depends on how much is taken. Smoking is probably worse, but drinking lots of alcohol can also put you in an early grave. I say smoking is though. There are thousands of chemicals in cigs.

   I have to say both, yet I give alcohol the advantage over smoking. Why? because there are slim benifits to red wine and a persons heart. Me, being an alcoholic, recovering love this excuse. I don't think as far as our Congress look at it that smoking is dangerous, but I.ll lay down a ten dollar bill and say lung cancer is partly caused from smoking , I know that is true, I am a recovering smoker also. Why did I quit these two fine drugs, cause they were bad for me, my heart was a racing from the smoke and the alcohol, and I had a hard time drinking just one drink. So sarcastically speaking go ahead and do them both and end up like me. Craving these two items all the time...Not Fun...

   Smoking is a long term health issue whereas drinking can be deadly at the moment when you are drunk. Why? If you are driving when you are drunk, you can get into a serious accident or death. When drunk, there can be many issues and dangers you will face that can lead to death.

    I would say both but yes it probably depends on the amount you have. My mum smokes heavy and drinks heavy too and has died 3 times from the drink but managed to pull through. Her breathing is so bad from smoking she has to have a breathing aid at night. So yeah they are both dangerous to me to be honest. x

       This is a question  probably consider by young people approaching the legal age for drinking and smoking.  The two go together, if you use one you will use the other. They both smell bad and once inside the body they cause a foul odor.
