The more we place expectations the more we are not living in the present. Trust that you are always doing 'the next right thing'. Most of us carry shame that's been embedded from childhood and we don't even know it. If you can assure yourself that your heart is in the right place, you don't have to constantly needle yourself to get things right and dwell on things that 'go wrong'. My favorite ancient Japanese proverb applies here: snow falls, each flake in its appropriate place.
