It is not as easy as one would like it to be. Do not eat for two. I was able to keep my weight gain down to no more than 20 pounds for each pregnancy and the main reason was through NOT eating like I was eating for 2. I avoided junk food, ate very healthy but only in my pre-pregnancy quantities. my work situation involved a lot of walking and I was able to keep up a regular active pace until my delivery. I also had prenatal care monthly allowing me to accurately monitor my weight gain. Best advice, eat healthy food and quantities and maintain regular moderate activity such as daily walking.
