Irritation of the eyes from looking at a computer screen is a result of dryness. When we're watching TV, reading, working on the computer, we don't blink as often as when we're not. It's normal, we're concentrating, so the eyes don't blink as often. The solution is artificial tears, and to take a 15 minute break every 45 minutes to an hour. Some symptoms of Dry Eyes include: irritation, itching, tearing, burning and a sensation there is something in your eye. Check out my hub on the cornea for more information. I have a hub in process on this very topic as well.
