This just proves whose side our "representatives" (or those appointed by our so-called "representatives") are really on.
And why not?
It's the corporations who get the true access to their offices. It's the corporations who get their attention through lobbying and hand-outs.
It's simply EASIER for the mediocre, self-serving folks in our government to care more about special interests than it is for the people who actually elected them. After all, someone's butt is going to be warming up the chairs in Washington, no matter what. And it has proven so easy to manipulate voters with scare tactics and B.S. every couple of years or so. So we all keep on playing this absurd, self-destructive game.
The solution is to take matters into your own hands; pack your kid his or her lunch, don't give them the money to buy the crap served in fast-food joints, etc.
Don't have the time to make your child's lunch, or you find yourself having too much trouble trying to influence your kid more than the TV?
Tough, you better find the time! You better start to learn how to truly understand and communicate with your kid. Otherwise, your complaints are meaningless.
