I do think tap water should have fluoride. I grew up on spring water and ended up with a lot of cavities. I mostly drink filtered water now, but I give my kids tap water at least half of the time. Hopefully their teeth will be better!
No, water from the tap should be as pure as we can make it. We use water for many things like watering the lawn and washing the floor. Why put flouride in there where it will be wasted? If you want flouride, put it in the water after you draw it from the tap. But don't put it in the water supply.
No, it is a poison and we get all the fluoride we need from other sources. Adding it to the water supply is mass medication and is wholly unethical. There are no benefits whatsoever in adding it to water. How can adding it carte blanche be beneficial...how is the dose regulated, how do you determine how much each individual has consumed?
When you drink fluoridated water it passes the teeth, is absorbed into the body and begins affecting bone and the pineal gland. It doesn't home in on teeth! It affects the whole body.
Use fluoridated tooth paste if you want to get the best benefit. But it should be an individual choice not some nanny state directive.
No. It makes some people ill. It does have a reaction with some medications and there are questions about how effective it is.
No, I do not think our drinking water should have fluoride in it. Sure, they say it helps make your teeth whiter, but what they don't tell you is that it very very slowly makes you dumb. The government is constantly thinking of little ways that will make us stupid over the years to come. It's ridiculous. It's not only humans that it's affecting. I have to give my bird water. He doesn't have teeth, and fluoride is bad for him.
Putting fluoride in public water supply is called water fluoridation. The idea is to prevent tooth decay. However, the issues is controversial and complex with views from both sides.
The issue centers around safety of fluoride and possible other... read more

"Despite mounting evidence of the contaminant's toxic effects, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has not set a legal limit for chromium-6 in tap water and does not require water utilities to test for it. Hexavalent chromium is commonly discharged from steel and pulp mills as well...
