No, definitely not. As people get older, they may have a harder time sleeping but this is due to the aging body and systems in the body that are not working as well.

In my case, this has not proven to be true. As an older person without the responsibility for others, I thoroughly enjoy at least 10 hours of sleep at night, and my body thrives on it.
Not in my case! I work long hard hours and when I was young(er) I use to play long hard hours. Now I get home and want to go to bed.
But with my family I still get plenty of "play" time.
