If it's just one glass, probably not. I think it would only be considered an addiction if the person could not function without drinking, if it altered their normal lifestyle or behavior, or if they could not go a day without feeling like they had to drink. If they spent the whole day just waiting until they could have the wine, missing other activities to have the glass of wine, or getting drunk from the one glass, then I guess it could be a problem. I think in order for something to become an addiction, it has to be not only an enjoyable part of their day, but a necessary one. The person feels they can not function if they don't have whatever it is they are addicted to. Ice cream is my favorite food, and I eat it almost every day, but I don't feel I have to eat it every day. I don't give up other things I love, like spending time with family and friends, to have my ice cream. I think if the person has enough self control to stop after one glass every time, then it is most likely not an addiction.
