How to get out of a funk?

For about a month now I've been completely unmotivated to do anything. I'll usually just watch tv or read, and I've been eating unhealthily and not getting much exercise at all. I have no energy or incentive , and it doesn't help knowing that all I have to do to fix it is eating healthier and working out- the cause of this is also the solution, but I can't bring myself to get up and do stuff. Has this ever happened to you? How did you motivate yourself to get back on your feet and start living your life again?

The way you begin your day determines the way you will live your day. If you want to change your life, try to learn meditating. Meditation is a method to train your mind to function the way it was designed to function. You will feel the peace and see that the key benefits are coming your way. You will be more patience and more sensible at the workplace as well as at home and rather more happy when you are alone.  It has a very strong power to motivate a human being.

I have found myself in that same situation at times in my life.  I find that if I get closer to God and praise Him all the time, even for the "not so good times" in our life.  Things get better, but if I start lacking on prayer and daily communion with Him, it puts a big gap between us.  God usually does not call on us.  We have to go to Him first.  He loves to hear from us!  He loves to hear you praise Him.  I even get into conversations with Him.  At first I thought it was me talking to myself, but then I began to pay special attention as to what I thought I would say next, and it was not what He did say to me.  That is when I realized it was not me talking to me.  I began writing everything down then.  Now  I  have a binder full of things he told me.  Sometimes I refer to them.  When I get down all I have to do is read what he said to me and it encourages me.  I also read what He says in the Bible.  Remember that the more you read his word the greater your faith becomes.  I sometimes turn the DIY chanel on and when I get through watching that for an hour it makes me want to get busy and make my house more beautiful. Just from that chanel alone, it has encouraged me to paint the whole inside of my house and  spackle walls, and decorate it.
