I went to a regular doctor who put me on an eating plan. We did regular check ups which kept me motivated because I did not want to disappoint him. When I went back to college though, I stopped.

Honestly though, portions. You buy the food you always do and cut it in half. Walk up and down stairs. Take walks. Cut soda. It will take a year to really see the difference from the beginning. Do not give up because you will see later when you gain it back that you were actually losing weight.

Motivation though comes from you. When you are truly ready, you will stay motivated. I hope I do when I start my diet again on Monday. (After 4th of July)

Honestly, my favorite weight loss method is counting calories. Now don't roll your eyes just yet. I hate being forced eat foods I can't stand, just because they're "low" calorie foods. I noticed when eating low cal, low fat, I'm hungry all the time. So, I count my calories. If I want pizza, I limit it to what my cals allow. If I'm particularly hungry, I will eat low cal food to stretch it out my cals throughout the day.

Weight is Calories in and calories burned. No diet can get around that fact.

Eating a lot of fiber fills me up, like popcorn and watermelon. If I go out to dinner, I save  my calories. To find your ideal calories per day, just times your Ideal weight x 10 if your sedentary, 12 if your active, and 15 if you're an athlete.

So, if your target weight is 135 pounds: 135 x 10 =1350 calories per day will keep you at that weight. I never feel deprived and keep my girlish figure.
This is the only way I can keep my weight down successfully. Believe me, I've tried every diet out there.

I have just written a hub on weight loss : Dr oz explains natural weight loss. His recommendations include raspberry ketones, to speed up metabolism, and about 11.00 a bottle. His website has many recommendations, for weight loss, including eating right, drinking plenty of water. Include whole grains, they will stay with you longer. As well as the omegas, which is what your body is craving, most of us are lacking this vital nutrient.

I've written a couple of hubs that you may find helpful. Detoxing is really important for losing weight. There are many ways to lose weight. The method that will work for you depends on many factors.

In general, staying motivated with weight loss is connected to seeing results. You will see results if you make the decision to lose weight and stick with it.

dial in appropriate calories to maintain your goal weight, and then hit the gym (resistance training) for up to an hour a day. Pretty simple!
