What are some natural treatments for MS?
I thought I saw a question on this subject a couple of weeks ago, but I can't seem to find it now. Anyone know first-hand about successful, natural treatments?
Yoga, vitamin D, and fish oils are of great help, the natural ways helps reduce discomfort
I take MS to mean multiple sclerosis. I have a Hub http://conradofontanilla.hubpages.com/h … Sclerosis. Of course, my account does not involve first-hand experience. The fruit juice of noni (Morinda citrifolia L,) possesses elements that can constitute a natural treatment for MS.
I have researched this fairly deeply, as the natural treatments for MS are similar to those for Rheumatiod Arthritis, which my wife has treated naturally all the way into remission.
Natural time in sunlight, gentle exercise, a healthy diet, and supplemental Vitamin D are all good.
All of the suggestions in my Hub: Heal Yourself: The Most Effective Treatments for Rheumatoid Arthritis are also effective for MS.
I have heard of two stories of complete remission from MS through natural methods. One is from Richard Bolles, the author of What Color is Your Parachute. It is in another book of his, The Three Boxes of Life and How to Get Out of Them. In this case, nothing more than an attitude change and focused exercise led to a woman going from being almost totally paralyzed (quadreplegic, able to move just two fingers) to complete remission in a few months.
The other is from Machaelle Small-Wright at www.Perelandra-ltd.com. Her system of flower essences and the MAP approach to healing was used by a woman with MS to achieve complete remission.
Many of the holistic doctors that I have researched, recommend a holistic approach to all autoimmune diseases. One account of total remission was acheived with their protocol, as reported by Doug Kaufman, know the cause. Adopting an anti fungal diet, a good Multivitamin regimen, containing a balanced formula, including Vitamin D3, have shown very good results. Fish oils are also detrimental, to the auto immune patient. The key element as reported by holistic doctors is Beta Glucan. This supplement is derived from oats, or mushrooms, and is either listed as 1/3= yeast cell wall of oats, or 1/6=mushrooms. It has the ability to calm, and normalize, the over reactive immune system, to activate killer T cells, and digest macrophages. Thereby making it detremintal in the fight of cancer, MS, and many other auto immune reactions. A very good Beta Glucan with a combination of 1/3 to 1/6 is Nsc, beta glucan. I discuss beta glucan in my article http://artist101.hubpages.com/hub/Heart … irculation There has been resent reaserch on this supplement, and has been proven to be very effective.

There are a number of organized groups with vehement leadership who want to subdue those who want to boost their immune systems with natural methods. They use circular reasoning and illogic. They do not connect the mind/body system. My recent hub warns against these ultra negative persons. See...
