I am happy with my life in the sense that I know I'm on the path I am meant to be heading down. I am meant to be focusing on writing wherever I can be, and I am meant to be plotting m next step.
However, If I were to say one thing right now? I would have to say ing that is making my life happy the summer, and being where I am. I am surrounded by good people, I have a significant other with a strong relationship, yet our distance works because it means he doesn't distract me from my writing. I have a new job that I love and I know appreciates me.
Will this current state of happiness continue? Probably not. The only true constant of the Universe is that there are no constants. However, by leaving this realm of happiness I have new opportunities to experience other arrangements of sequences which will equate to contentedness, and who know, perhaps happiness again. I look forward to the experiences before me, and treasure the ones behind me, good and bad. Experiences are the building blocks to wisdom. Some day, I wish to be wise.

Change is a way of life. But you should find happiness in any way, any change that comes to you. We're people, we know how to adapt to our environment easily. Good luck with your plans. Wish you the best.

Human beings become as they think.  I always think positive and the impact of thoughts on me  have trained my mind  to experience happiness in all circumstances. In our life nothing is good or bad but only thinking makes so.

Right now, I am baby sitting my youngest grand-daughter, Jazzy, three days a week.  I enjoy watching her grow up and thinking back when my daughter was her age. I love babies at this age, she is 10 months old.  They still like to snuggle and are always happy to see you!

My answer would have to be my loved ones, collectively.  There has been a great shadow of sadness looming over the past eight years for my immediate family, and I can't begin to  imagine having to go through it completely alone. They, truly, are my very life.

I appreciate every positive thing in my life, from my favourite sweater to the fact that I have a roof over my head and enough food to eat. Of course stuff gets me down, but I always try to keep it in perspective and look at the bigger picture. That way, I'm seldom down for long.

I'm happy because I'm living life to the fullest and enjoying the moment. Most people live in the past or in the future and they don't see the good things life has to offer. They are always looking for something better.

Yes. I am happy with my life. At this moment I am doing exactly what I always had in the back of my mind I would be doing at this stage in life (retirement from the rat race). Yesterday, I received a writing inquiry out of the blue, for what I consider an assignment  that is right up my alley. So, yes. Life is good for me right now. There are other things, like the love and joy of my husband, children, parents, and siblings. But, to list ONE - it is being able to write for additional retirement income.

What a wonderful question...not from the philosophical aspect of it, as much as from the community spirit.  You have hit on a common subject that is obviously dear to many people.  I'm enjoying reading everyone's responses.  smile

One thing that makes me happy right now: I am employed and do not have a financial stress weighing over me.  This employment allows other opportunities in my life.

Thank you. It actually just crossed my mind last evening, "What makes me happy?" And then I thought about asking it to Hubbers.

Financial stress can be very destructive. It's good that you don't have one.

One thing that make me happy now is I am happier then before. I was happy after crying, I was sad after laughing. You might think it is a silly answer, but it is honest. Thank you for asking, my answer release a burden upon my shoulder.

Right now truthfully I am so happy that my daughter and her children are on the planet. Our lives like the lives of many have faced great challenges. So to have my grandchildren and my daughter living close by and living each day to the fullest is a blessing. This truly brings me since joy, a notch above just being 'happy.'

Kidding aside, I'm glad they're with you, near you. Because you can watch them grow, and  see them proceed with life. Be there for them always! smile

For me, it is my meditation practice. I meditate every day for about 20 minutes sometimes a bit longer. It helps me to quiet the mind of any chatter and then I can carry that peace into my daily life. I also feel calm and balanced which helps me to be very happy.
