   Do you think a woman is less feminine for not wearing or wanting to wear heels?
   
   I actually  saw a Twitter trend not long ago where it was about real women ____. And that's what one guy put. I personally don't agree with it but I'm interested in what others think. Does it make you any more or less feminine for not desiring to do so or just not doing it?

   Personally, I hate heels. They make women walk unnaturally, they look ridiculous, and they're just not practical. Heels cause foot and ankle problems, and they're a throwback to things like Chinese foot-binding.
   
   I don't think they make women look elegant, or glamorous, or feminine. I think they make women look silly and subservient.
   
   But, that's just one guy's take.

      Interesting Volitans, I agree that heels cause so many problems and also make women feel uncomfortable walking.  So are you less likely to date a woman in heels?

      Well, my wife also hates heels and refuses to wear them. So if I ran into a woman wearing heels, she probably would not be my wife. So yeah, I would be less likely to date a woman in heels.

   Though heels add a bit of glamor and can make calves appear sexy, they are often a pain and designed by "men" that don't understand or care that it is sometimes a PAIN to wear them. Femininity is the grace and allure that a woman procures, not the shoes she wears:)

      I agree ALUR alot of men don't understand that concept of PAIN. They look sexy but they don't always make a woman feel sexy or comfortable for that matter.

   Absolutely not. They might be more appealing to some, but in reality all they do is cause more harm than good. Footwear doesn't designate whether a woman is feminine or not, it's all about the attitude and how they carry themselves. Women could be feminine barefoot or in a pair of flip flops. BTW: I like your new avatar!

   I think high heels can make a woman look sexy, but I would not necessarily say they make a woman more feminine.  I personally like wearing cute, delicate flats and find them more feminine.  After all, really tall heels can make a woman look super tall and how is that feminine?  Cute pink ballet flats are way more feminine!

   I think it's funny that he put that on there. Wearing heels is a hastle and is for girly-girls, which is not where I have ever fit in. It might make a woman less feminine, but a woman who doesn't wear heels is still feminine in other ways.

      I agree iburmaster, I think for some people it is a matter of being feminine. But you cannot link femininity to one trait or behavior.

   Absolutely NOT.  A woman can be feminine in flip flops if she wants to be.  I prefer low heels or flip flops, and I think I am feminine.

   My goodness!  There are too many "real women" things going around on the internet.  This one is new to me, but I suppose my view would be biased because I dislike wearing heels.  I only wear small heels that give me maybe two inches the most; usually they are more like sandals with a little bit of height.  I don't feel like less of a woman just because I'm not making myself taller. 
   
   I suppose there are some situations where you want to look classier, so you have to wear "fancy" shoes, which typically have a heel on it, but it's not necessary to be a real woman. 
   
   Being a real woman means being true to yourself!  It's silly to base femininity on what you wear on your feet.  That guy who made the ridiculous comment about it just has a preference for women who wear them.

   Actually, some women resemble street walkers when they wear heels.  To be feminine is to accent what she can offer naturally, not what man has created her to present.  There's much more to love in the natural beauty of women than in any window dressing, whether it's on sale or not.  Besides, it's one less weapon my wife can use against me when she gets mad!

    Whether a woman chooses to wear heeels or not, it has nothing to do with her femininity. We live in a time where women have more options to express their femininity in a way which is unique and comfortable for tthem. Heels or no heels, some woman just know how to rock their outfit

    I have very flat feet, so wearing heels is out of the question for me. My feet tend to really hurt with heels. I like the flat ballet slipper type of shoes if I am going out somewhere if I have to dress up. It is still "feminine" and much less of a pain to wear.  I don't think heels have to be worn by women if they want to be feminine at all. Good question!

    Wearing high heels make a woman look sexier. Christian Louboutin says that when a woman tries on heels, she does not look at the shoes! She looks at how it makes her body look-- changes the way she stands.

    I don't believe a woman is less feminine for not wearing or not wanting to wear heels. A woman becomes less feminine when she gives up on herself and no longer cares what she looks like. I also believe that when a woman feels absolutely comfortable with herself, heels or not, and truly feels sexy then she has reached ultimate femininity.
