   Do men and women fight with stress differently?
   
   If so, what are the main differences, how do you think?

   When I first thought about this question, I started off thinking that their was a difference.  Seeing as men and women have different ways of viewing many things in life.  However, for this question, I think if you look at the very basics of it, they are similar.  For example, when I am stressed I do what makes me comfortable and is something I know and enjoy doing.  I think when it comes to stress many people tend to fall back onto the things that they know and enjoy doing to make themselves feel better about a certain situation.

   Yes men and women fight differently with each other and also fight the stress out of it differently!

   As a man I fight with stress by being mindful of my thoughts, visualizing relaxing scenery and using self talk.  However I learned to do that while researching meditation.  I don't think men and women use different methods to relax.  However men are more likely to try to release their anger physically.  For example they may hit something or lift heavy weights.  Women are more likely to use words to hurt other people's feelings.  At least that is what I think.  They act of differently when stressed but the method people use to relax are similar for men and women.

   I know that when I get stressed my humour gets much, much darker and also more cruel. Jokes are usually much more cutting and hurtful (even if I don't really mean for them to be), and I'm less than fun to be around, not because I'm necessarily brooding, but because I will probably start jabbing at people and being less than nice.
   
   Life of the party? No. Not at all.
