   Have you fulfilled childhood desires?
   
   For example, when I was a kid I wanted to build a tree house that spanned several trees.  I wanted to travel around the world... etc.

   I have fulfilled some of them. I wanted to write. I wrote my first short story at age 8. And I published my first novel at 33. Now, at 62 I'm writing full time.
   
   But I also wanted to be an astronaut. I wanted to be an Indiana Jones, even before the movies came out. Even though I haven't done any on-sight archaeology, my research in the scientific literature has uncovered evidence in support of Atlantis, Plato's lost island empire. And my research skills have improved, finding in Genesis a biblical timeline compatible with those of science, and the Kabbalists' "Tree of Life" embedded in 2 chapters of Genesis.
   
   I loved the "tree house" in "Swiss Family Robinson," and here in the Philippines, I might be able to bring that dream to life. My wife likes the idea, too.

      That would be awesome.  I have started to write down many of those "childhood dreams" because many of them still appeal to me.  I would be interested in reading about the tree of life and other biblical findings you've made.

   No, i wanted a horse but my apartment doesn't have much space to have one. No money either... But that's not important. IT IS! ;D
   I also wanted to go to Disney land. Didn't accomplish that either. I guess when i'm rich i'll have time to be a child again.

      Growing up we had horses.  Fun to ride, but I don't really miss them.  My daughter wants a horse now.  Disney Land has some great deals - people keep telling me that, so I have been looking.  I am looking to win the lottery and that should help.

   Well I haven't made it into the space program yet , but I have done a few things I set out to do.  I wanted to be in a creative field and I do that.  I also didn't want to have a job I wanted to be self-employed like my grandpa was and I've managed to pull that off. 
   
   Unfortunately, I have yet to travel the world and see every country and I don't have a pet owl - I've heard they're mighty hard to take care of and I doubt they'd get along with my cats.

      There is always more of the world to see - that is part of the problem as well as part of the fun.  And yeah the owl would be a problem.  If the owl is too small the cats would eat it and if the owl is too big he would probably eat the cats..

   Yes and no. I traveled to Europe, graduated high school, got a degree at college, etc. There are plenty more dreams to achieve though, and they are all written down on my dream wall. The ones that were not fulfilled include being an interior designer, a fashion designer, an architect, etc. Though I might design my house one day, I can still sew very well and decorate my home

   Even as a child, I knew that I wanted to be a mom one day. I always knew that I wanted to stay at home with my children. I've accomplished that! Quite a feat considering the financial planning that it takes to only have one parent getting a full pay check.

      I do not think we could accomplish that, congratz.  Any which way you look at it having children is hard work.  I never thought I would get married let along have children - my wife and children are the best things that have happened to me.

   All my childhood desires have been fullfilled so I count myself very lucky: I have a real family now and my farm, where I can work and dream among the wildlife. I am passionate about my job and achieved everything in it what I possibly could. My lifelong passion in art and writing is still with me and now I can create and write whatever is in my mind without censorship or demand of market.
   
   But my first dream was to run away from dark and uniformal homeland to an island, where people roam free and sun never ceases to shine. I have reached that paradise twenty years ago....

   I never became a Solid Gold Dancer. Devastating. However, I did end up in the construction field which was my second passion as a child. (I was obsessed with floor plans and creating them. I work with 3D models of our projects)
   
   Becoming a mom: As a kid, I dreamt of having daughters one day that I would take to dance class, do their hair, dress them up, etc. Little did I know, that would not be in the cards for me and that my plan, although a good one at the age of 9, was not the best plan for me. Someone higher knew exactly what I needed in my life and that was a house full of rowdy, sweet, funny, crazy, momma-loving boys.
   
   While every desire may not have been met, the outcome has been much more fulfilling than I could have ever imagined.
