   Definitely happy.  Most suicides are by wealthy people who appeared to have everything but miserable and depressed on the inside.

   Happy. Being rich doesn't always come with happiness. You can be middle class and happy.

   By nature, I am a happy person.  I have joy in my heart no matter what.  I am grateful for all things good and appreciate the lessons learned from the bad.  I want to be RICH!

   I dont know any one rich or poor who is always happy. Money has nothing to do with being happy. You can be happy rich or poor. Happiness is a state of mind.
   Prejudice is being against a group of people. Many people dislike rich people and draw conclusions they must be unhappy. Look around, a lot of poor people , middle class people are poor too. Happiness is not a by-product of money.

   Kind of obvious, wouldn't you agree? If you had a billion dollars -- like Madoff -- and in jail for the rest of your life, what's the answer ? Happiness, on the other hand is what you make it -- or, perceive it as -- broke, living on an island that provides your every need --"need" is the key word -- what good would the money be? It wouldn't. Therefore, the answer seems quite obvious to me. How about you? Mr. Rick

   If by "rich" you mean being able to buy everything I want, then why wouldn't I be happy?  If I get depressed, I just buy myself some therapy or a long vacation in any part of the world that would cheer me up.  I think those that say money can't buy happiness don't have any.  The fact is, we all get unhappy, doesn't matter how much or how little you own.  Unhappiness comes for everyone at some point.  I want to be rich when it comes for me.....that's all I'm saying. lol

    Why oh why must there always have to be a choice between the two. I for one would greatly appreciate being rich and happy. And you know why? Because I'm darned well tired to the bones working my b_ _ off and having to walk around with an empty purse. Yes, by the time groceries and bills are paid, taking care of the children's needs and taxes I literally have 0 in my purse. So my dearest friend, I want to be RICH & HAPPY!

    Give me rich. I can sort out happy then because I'm rich. Oh, yes. I know about the saying that money can't buy happiness. I think that little gem was thought up by the down right poor who were not goi ng to make it or by some rich guy who didn't want competition.

    I would rather be happy than rich.  In a movie I watched a man was obsessed with making money.  He became very wealthy but he did not have any friends or family and he was not happy.  If I was rich I am pretty sure I would be happy but if given the choice out of the two of them I would rather be happy.  I would not sacrifice happiness for money.

    i would most definitely be rather be happy!! being happy, i feel like i AM rich, although as far as earthly possessions go i have little to nothing. even in the deepest of my depressions, i have always been able to find at least a little comfort in finding something, anything, to be thankful and happy for! blessings!

    Both would be good.  Happiness is a stae of mind so can only be controlled by the individual. Finding happiness by material gain is usually short lived, well the buzz of acquiring new things is.  Most are richer than we believe and have everything we already need.
