That's strange. My earliest memories were very pleasant. Even the divorce, because it was very amicable. I wonder why people only choose to remember unpleasant memories when there are so many good ones?
You represent the small minority, as did the ONE girl in my psych class. I think we remember traumas not out of choice, but because the shock of the event imprints into our memory system..and it never leaves.
