What causes children of large and very large families to have a very low sense of self, very low

self-confidence, and an overall low sense of self awareness?
Children in large and very large families are not encouraged to be individuals and to have a concept of selfhood.  This is frowned upon in such families.  Many parents of large and very large families view the concept of selfhood to be selfish.  Children in large and very large families are strongly inculcated to be A GROUP more or less.  They adopt a group philosophy early in their lives.

Children in large families tend to lack love and attention making hem feel less confident and also a reason for them having a low self-esteem. This makes children from large families to find their own paths

Excellent and succinct answer. Children from large families are extremely attention starved. They were also brainwashed to put others' needs first before their own.  The large family is a system apart from other families indeed.

In some of these families the parents may be very selfish and not do all of the things children require. This includes teaching children how to express themselves verbally and non verbally. Some of these parents see children as tools to get a government check, a child support check, or an extra pair of hands to help out with household, farm, or other duties. Simple observations show that those with large families also tend to be less educated or informed than those with fewer children. If the heads of these households have this trait, what can they really teach their children and HOW will it be taught?
