Is there an intervention program for addicts who go on one hub of yours hundreds of times?

"Hundreds of times" you say? Send em my way. I could use the extra traffic.

3 new ones today for a grand total of 334 times. I wouldn't send this one anywhere but the nearest mental health faculty.

Alastar.......Come ON!  You aren't serious!  Someone actually visited one hub of yours 334 times?  This is outrageous.  Tell me, have you left them all up?
Alastar, I can admit that you write some of the most interesting and educational History hubs on  HP.  I enjoyed reading them and you've taught me a lot. However, hundreds of repeated visits, speaks strongly of a serious issue....and I wouldn't even attempt a guess at what "kind" of issue!  LOL
Is a comment left, each and every time?  I should think one would run out of things to say after the first 100 visits.  LOL
Sorry, I can't stop laughing, Alastar.  I don't suppose at this point that you think it's funny?
I believe you have a "stalker" on your trail!

Serious as the Big One, effer ! No comments left. This hubber has one hub, and that hub is similar to the one of mine they keep going on. Mental issue there?...absolutely.smile Should I report this to HP staff?

You say, "This hubber has one hub, and that hub is similar to the one of mine ..." Are you sure the views aren't coming from the 'Discover More Hubs' section of that hubber's hub, where your hub is probably listed?

That's good deducting, Jayne. This has been going on a awhile and I checked that near the beginning and my hub wasn't on the related then though it is now. I left this hubber a message on their comments but never received a reply.

Oh my goodness...that is really 'out there.'  How can you tell if this is happening?  i would like to check my hubs as well.  I would be a little creeped out by this...it is rather like stalking.  I have a couple of 'followers' who registered only to follow me, but do not write anything or have any comment activity.

I wonder if the reader is checking on your hub to see if you have any updates or to see who comments.  Maybe he or she is interested in using some of your material in his or her own similar hub.  Very weird.

That's some good deducing too, Jeannieinabottle. Maybe the updates, but this is an older hub and doesn't get much in the way of comments. If they'd only answered my post it could have been resolved then and there. Grin & bare it I guess.

A person went to  my hub about 100 times. He had a hub on a similar topic. Eventually he beat me in SERP, so that was reason I figured. Alaster, could that be reason?

Yes it could, brakel. Had this happen once, too. What they do is go on and off your story very fast to make it look bad in the eyes of G.
