Yes, peanuts work effectively in small amounts. Also, ice cream works too, again in small portions.

some ppl are allergic to peanuts and dairy and if so then dairy causes bloating and constipation.  I am not talking about Lactose Intolerance, it's the protein in the dairy that ppl like me, are allergic too.

If you are constipated and bloated you could have stomach issues. You can use prune juice to help with the constipation, but as far as the bloating, you could try an elimination diet to see what is causing it. Fennel and peppermint tea can help with the bloating. See a doctor to help you figure it out.

I have seen a doctor. I was told I had H. Pylori and Gerd caused by it. I was on medication for 6 months and got better. The meds made me sick though. Now I am having issues with the bloating again. I have been constipated my whole life though sad thx

you poor thing!! Other recommendations for H pylori, and gerd are in my article about Ibs. Pistachios, and honey actually kill the Pylori bacteria. Which has become resistant to anti biotics. Which would explain why after the meds it just came back.

Probably the quickest is Epsom salt. A pinch to up to 1 tsp. can be added to a small amount of warm water, and drank. It works fairly quick, the taste is nasty. It contains magnesium, the active ingredient in Milk of Magnesium. Magnesium tablets can also be chewed and swallowed. From 200mg to 500mg will do the trick. Above those amounts diarrhea usually occurs. Each person differs so the amount you use will very. Start with the lowest dose, and increase until relief is observed. Taking magnesium daily at a lower dose will ward off constipation. Taken as a maintenance dose, at night because it tends to cause sleepiness. The other benefits of magnesium is it relaxes muscles, and quiets the brain to aid in sleep. Magnesium is the number one nutrient missing in the American diet.Children can take magnesium as well, just lower the dose by weight. 100 lbs 400mg, so a child weighing 50 pounds would take a half of a dose, up to 200mg. In a gummy vitamin, will help to get children to take it.
Eliminating constipating foods, increasing fiber in the diet, and an increase in plain water will also help.
As constipation is regulated, the bloating will subside.
Ginger, and peppermint aid in dispelling gas, and flatulence. Add a pinch of ginger, or melt a piece of peppermint candy in your favorite tea. Ginger can be very hot, so a pinch is all u need. Can be purchased as a root and grated, or in the spice isle of your favorite grocery store. Peppermint leaves should NEVER be ingested it is best to buy it in a commercial preparation. Peppermint has been used for centuries for colic in babies, and very effective. Most "stomache" preparations, over the counter contain peppermint for that reason.
    Hope it helps

Wow, so many great suggestions. I have never heard of the Epsom salt and  its relation to milk of magnesia. Very interesting. I bought some ginger today and will be getting some peppermint tea I think to try later. Thanks for your input!

Eat some prunes.  They are sweet and you only have to eat about 10 of them.  They work, most times, overnight. Another things is eating an apple, not applesauce but a whole apple.

I tried the prune juice before, I think I will try again with the prunes. It does seem to work longterm, I just dont continue and the constipation returns. Thank you smile

Not the juice, but the prunes.  I liked your pick for the best answer as he was very indepth on all of that.

Thank you lady Guinevere for the kind comment. I have lupus, with IBS so the recommendations do help, as well as elimination of the offending foods. For me its seeds. I cant digest them. Didnt kno it until I started a food diary, and narrowed it down

Stay away from vegetables in the Nightshade family: tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, peppers and such. They are known to give you flareups.

Thank you Lady Guinevere, the night shade "family" doesnt seem to make a difference, although it probably does. Kinda frustrating at times. Ive just learned to go with the flow. i just kinda accept it, and try something else.
