Thanks for that thorough answer. I too have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
Oh wow. That is awful.

Thanks for your answer. Where do you live?
I live in a rented house in GA where the bugs come in because it rains a lot or is too hot/humid for them. Plus I do not use chemical insecticides - for my safety.
I see. There are natural things to keep bugs away, but closing your door at night when you rent is a good idea.
I have discovered a few but I am still searching for others. I have seen practically every bug on the list.

Yes, the bedroom doors is what I am talking about.

I leave my door open. My dog and cats know how to open the bi-fold doors. I also do it in case of fire or smoke. It's easy to get out of the house that way.
That's a good thing they taught at school. The bedroom door is one more barrier to keep noise and light out.
We learned this on a field trip to the Fire Station. We also learned to feel the door before opening it. If its abnormally hot, don't open it. Go to a window if there is one, yell for help.
That wouldn't work for us though, but that sounds like a good idea. We have bi-fold doors and my cats and dog know how to open them.

Thanks. My parent's slept with their door closed. I did too when my kids were growing up but that didn't stop them from walking in on us.
