What To Do For Muscle Spasms?

Been flat in bed, unable to move because of muscle spasms in my back. Been resting and using ice. Also on muscle relaxants. Any other suggestions?

Thanks so much for this information ChristinS.. I will start on the magnesium right away and up my potassium with the proper foods. I was recently put on medication for Diabetes which may be affecting my magnesium levels. Thanks again.

I'll give magnesium a try for sure. Interesting to learn that as we age, this mineral is necessary for metabolism. And thanks so much for the links. I appreciate this help.

You had me 'cracking up'! There's nothing like a little humor to divert the mind from pain. And I'm going to up my water along with some gatorade for electrolyte balance. Thanks and sure hope your recovery is a speedy one.

Hello beautiful Audrey.....Muscle spasms can be so annoying and uncomfortable....I get them in my feet (toes). As far as I know, "quinine" is tonic water (the same liquid used for the drink "gin & tonic") unless teamrn knows of some other.
