That never made sense to me. You would think the germs would breed more in summer and heat not in freezing cold!
I guess it depends on the disease. There is the common cold, around for years, and other diseases which people catch in the winter. Animals and plants also die for certain reasons in the winter. Take those which live in the Arctic.

That reminds me I use to get sick every spring; but it wasn't flu I am pretty sure just a cold after bragging all winter how well I was! I really do stay well pretty much anymore I think because I am more aware of germs; cold or flu!
