I get the flu shot annually. I am somewhat ignorant of the pneumonia vaccine. I should look into that since I have had it distinctively three times. The last led to the pleura of my right lung filling. That gave cause for a thoracotomy for the purpose of draining. Not only significantly painful, but was considered an emergent operation. The hospital stay began with emergent before the procedure, to critical care, and then typical nursing. Don't wish for that again :-)
Even though I tend to rarely have a cold, this question does prompt me to look at the NyQuil expiration date. I always have Vicks on hand for a chest application. Seems to help . . . I dun'no. I have my favorite teas too. I always have one of the basic chicken broth soups on the shelf like Lipton or Wylers. I may think about cough drops.
