A balanced diet includes, meat, fish, fruit, carbs such as rice and potato.
My advice would be to eat in moderation. Which means a little bit of everything. I maintain a balanced diet alongside the gym, I go to five times a week. So I'm able to treat myself to certain things once in a while without piling on the pounds. Fruit juice instead of soft drinks.
Remember all fish, meat, fruit, vegetable, pulse, carbohydrate, will help to maintain your body's natural balance. Just remember not to over indulge. Too much of anything can be a bad thing.
