I just had six fillings done on the left side of my mouth, upper and lower. The upper molar's...

filling went in much deeper than anticipated and has been hurting for over a week. Now they tell me I need a root canal. I unfortunately used all of my savings on the fillings and now I don't know what to do. Isn't it a bit unethical for a dentist to work on a tooth, give it a filling, then tell you that you need a root canal asap?
