What BioFreeze Pain Relief Gel Feels Like
Muscle pain relief without a doctors referral doesn't have to be expensive. While dealing with intense muscle pain in my upper back and neck that often would sting and burn, I sought out a massage therapy.
I explained the muscle tension pain I was experiencing to the massage therapist. The approach she used was to massage in BioFreeze to help. My back was super sensitive and I was not able to get a deep tissue massage that would help to relief back pain and instead enjoyed just a regular relaxation massage.
While on the massage table, I could feel the BioFreeze cooling and relaxing my upper back. FInally I was feeling some relief from the back pain I had been suffering from.
How Does BioFreeze Work?
BioFreeze works as Cryotherapy. Cryotherapy is just cold therapy. The gel when applied to the skin creates a feeling of cooling on the area of the skin. The cooling affect affects the brain through the nerve ending. It transmits faster then the feelings of pain or warmth allowing your body to feel the coolness on your skin and lessens the feelings of pain. This is the similar affect caused by icing the skin. Expect, with Biofreeze the blood flow is not inturrupted.
Biofreeze works on muscle pain, Arthritis, Tendinitis, nueropathy caused by diabetes and other similar pains. It will not work and should not be applied to sunburns.
What Does BioFreeze Feel Like?
When applied it goes on like any type of gel. It does not instantly feel cool. Within minutes you will begin to feel the cooling sensation build up. Within 10 minutes the area the pain relief gel was applied will feel as if there is a cold wet cloth on it, without the wet feeling.
The Biofreeze gel drys quickly and doesn't leave any colors. While at first it instantly smells very menthol like, the smell goes away when it drys and isn't noticeable.
The pain relief lasts for a few hours. Enough to help the body relax.
