What is your favorite low impact exercise and why?

    My legs are very weak and I must tone my legs to protect my knees. I am always seeking out new ways to tone my thighs and my leg muscles that surround my knees. What works for you? What do you find fun?

      Recumbent bike. Start slowly and easily. It will tone and strengthen, and you can increase your efforts at your own pace.

    I drink light beer. It allows me to do some reaching (into the fridge), some twisting (to remove the caps), and some lifting (arm curls to drink them). It's very low impact and, unlike most every other exercise I've ever tried or heard of, it's immensely satisfying. The more I work out, the happier I get, actually.

    I just cut the lawn for a bit of exercise. But your way sounds better Shadesbreath.

    Yoga is actually a great exercise.  All those warrior poses definitely require you to squat down and engage your leg muscles.
