Do you think that having compassion doesn't affect happiness in a positive way?

I think compassionate people are happier because their feelings come from a good place in their heart. Even if you have been taken advantage of because you are kind or compassionate, your inner self is still has that beacon of light that carries you through the more difficult parts of life with a positive perspective.
