We love, we love, we love the stars
We could fall so hard
The drinks, the minks, the jewels, the house, the cars
Why’d we ball so hard?
This song always reiterates the importance of being connected to others in society, remembering who we are beyond the clothing or possessions. It makes me reflect on the awesome question: Who do we think we are? Who are we beyond the materials? Do we overdose on our own self-relevance and inflated view of our importance and presence in the world?
