Do eating bananas cause cold in babies, as my parents ask me to avoid giving them to my kiddo. What is your take on this theory.

Bananas can increase chest congestion, but they do not cause colds. Mash up the banana though to avoid the risk of choking. or put it in a mesh feeder if baby is 5 to 10 months.

Thanx for sharing, that could be the reason why bananas are avoided in winters here..

Bananas give babies a cold?! surely not I always thought they were good for littlens. Is there any proof behind this idea?

Colds are a virus. A fruit cannot cause a virus.

Do bananas cause colds? My daughter ate them almost exclusively from about one year old to say three-ish. She was robust. Always kind o' thought 'twas the bananas wink
