How many times have we been upset or angry and said some extremely hurtful things, as soon as the words have left our mouths oooooooooo we regret saying them..

What if anything did you do to make up for this slip...?

Appologize. Hopefully you`ll have learned from it.

What I do depends on whether or not what I said is true.  Sometimes hurtful things come out in a heated moment, things you really do mean, and maybe they are best said.  Other times, the words are just vengeful, and then an apology is needed.

All you can do is offer a heartfelt apology.

Apologize.  Then go forward and don't dwell on it anymore.  Also, forgive yourself for slipping up.

I will usually take a look and tell the reasons for what I said along with a apology and grovelling if necessary tongue lol
