i have suffered more than ten years with scoliosis in my back. for those of you who don't know it means a curving and crooked spine. i finally got a doctor who wants to help me. he sent me to a spine specialist. that doctor said: i see no reason for surgery i do recommend physical therapy. my insurance will only cover 30 sessions a year when the doctors are saying it will take going straight through for years to get me better. my insurance pays for enough to where i start getting around a little easier and then: oh we're sorry you've reached your limit for the year. can anyone tell me what to do so i'm not in pain everyday of my life. i'm falling to the right side now and there's more pain each day. i need help but i don't know how to get it. the social aid here is a joke and i'm on very tight budget. it would be so nice to be able to stand up straight and walk pain free. that is my dream.

Did the physical therapy people give you any exercises and methods you can do by yourself? I'm sure it must be difficult, but there might be some things you can do on your own.

yes they did give me a few exercises. after a while my body got built up to them and they've taken me as far as they can. at first i was not able to lift more than 20 pounds without my back seizing up. know i can lift almost 50 before it happens.
like i said every day is still a pain. i miss out on playing with my niece and nephew because the games they play are to rough. it's like life is passing me by and i just fall a little more to the right everyday. any more advice?
