Sounds familiar. It is an incredibly difficult thing to do and requires great will power.

How far have you got before? Did you try any nicotine replacement products?

I am currently taking Varenicline (Champix) and I must say that it is making it a LOT easier. I don't actually want to smoke and I am not getting bad cravings at all. I was up to 30 a day when I started taking the pills and I have been smoking for 20 years.

They are expensive though, and its too early to tell what will happen when I stop taking the pills, but I am determined to stop this time. Its been a week so far.

Last time I did it without anything and lasted 3 months, the time before was around 3 months on patches.

I know people who have had great success with the nicotine chewing gum. Different therapies work with different people.

      Keep trying though!
