These days where no doubt, we are surrounded by doctors, which doctor has good experience and knowledge?
how to check that which doctor is good to treat us?
ask some friends and relatives and their friends about the reputation of doctors
if you are sick and need specialist you should go to a big hospital or hospital cum university in the area and usually the head of the unit is the best
if you need for example a OB GYN -- a good friend or a relative who recommend the doctor is a proof that the doctor is good
prettydarkhorse is right- you should ask friends and family. But remember to ask them what they find good about them - because we all want different things.
Being told a doctor is "very nice" by someone, means nothing to me if the doctor is useless.
Hospital consultants more difficult. Ask for recommendations, but also go on the internet and see what they hae been up to in terms of research and see if they are one of the leaders in their field.
Sitting in Orange County, California, I would suggest asking for references from family and friends. Asking for references from your family physician is also a good idea.
And in this age of social media, posting a question in an online forum or on Facebook/Twitter can also give you a handful of worthy options in a jiffy!
