Bicep Plateau workout?

For some reason, my biceps have not really gotten much stronger or bigger since I started curling a couple years ago. Back when I only weighed 140ish pounds I got up to curling 40 lbs, but my left arm had a hard time with them.

I am now up to 172 lbs at 5-10 and people who have not seen me in a while since I was 160 lbs said how much bigger I got.

The truth is, my biceps never really got stronger or bigger. My chest, shoulders, triceps have.

What is a good workout to break through a bicep plateau?I can do 37 lbs at least 10x first set. It seems like I will never get to 50 lbs for 10 reps.

I have almost come to the conclusion that if someone just does bicep curls, they can get fairly strong, but will likely hit a plateau.

Many of my family and friends think my biceps have gotten stronger, but my biceps were actually fairly strong when I was much skinnier (before I started doing serious compounds lifts like bench press, incline, shoulder press etc).
