How do you handle the mood swings and how do you help the one you love?

Ding-dongs and Mountain Dew for depressions. Turkey (loaded with tryptophan) for the hyper phases.

If your spouse or loved one is seeing a social worker, psychologist or psychiatrist for bi-polar, I suggest you ask this professional.  Don't ever put personal problems online because a lot of people won't take you seriously and they will make fun of you.  I hope you find answers elsewhere.

I didn't put my personal problems on line. I wasn't talking of myself, thank you very much. I am trying to get feedback for a hub I plan related to the one I just posted. Isn't that one of the reasons we have these forums?
I don't appreciate being lectured by a stranger for a wrong assumption she made.
