    It's been 6 months since
    you heard the news
    & was given two options,
    to win or lose.
    But it most definitely
    didn't end like that,
    just happen to be
    where it all started at.
    Still seems like yesterday
    when I was searching
    for the words to say..
    "it's all gonna be okay"
    & "I love you anyway"
    Now your finished
    through your 1st chemo.
    You got just a bit
    further more to go.
    So don't you fear
    a battle scar.
    Your almost there,
    you've come so far.
    Look at just how
    strong you are.
    Shining brighter
    than a star.
    & most certainly I'll
    be there for you.
    Just look at how
    close we've grew.
    After all that we've
    been through.
Mom, I will always love you.

Sincerest wishes that your Mom successfully wins her fight, the way so many women have done.  Your poem to her isn't just a nice thing for her, but I'd think finding ways to express your own feelings in a poem is a positive thing for you to do at this time when you're going through your own, individual, set of emotions as a result of knowing what she's going through.

Thank you so much. I honestly don't know what I would do without writing. It has gotten me through so many struggles in my life. Without it I'm still me. But with it I hold a touching mini story of my most heartfelt events in my life. I love sharing these stories. (:
