A greater fruit intake is also known to combat kidney stones and fruit diet is also known to alleviate the effects of bone loss. It is also a wise practice when watching your calories to increase the intake of low calorie fruits; this is a much better alternative to other artificial means.

Another important benefit that is derived from a fruit diet is that many of them are rich in all sorts of Vitamins and nutrients, predominantly Vitamin C. Fruits such as oranges contain large amounts of Vitamin C, and this helps in the growth and repair of all the tissues in the human body. To add to this, fruits rich in Vitamin C help keep teeth and gum healthy and prevent scurvy.

Fruits are excellent for pregnant women as proper fetal development is important and fruits aid in it. One of the numerous health benefits of increasing fruit intake is that it helps in fighting chronic diseases. Many researchers have pointed to the effectiveness of fruit when fighting chronic diseases, to add to this increased fruit intake is also an efficient tool to cleanse the body.

Potassium rich fruit diet is very healthy for people that suffer from hypertension i.e. high blood pressure. Examples of fruits that are high in potassium are bananas, prunes, peaches and apricot, cantaloupe, honeydew melon and orange juice. When part of an overall healthy diet, the fiber that is present in fruits is beneficial for heart patients. This is because fiber helps reduce cholesterol level and enables proper bowel function to take place in the body. Fiber also aids in relieving constipation and diverticulitis, fiber containing fruits generally help create a feeling of fullness even though you are consuming fewer calories.

Detox diet and why is it good for you

Detoxing is a huge term and many medical professionals believe that there is no such thing as detoxing . So why do we use this term to address our diet issues? Answer is quite simple because we needed a short term for "stop eating junk food". Not eating for a small period of time can also be called detoxing but its not healthy. Healthy and correct food intake is always the best detox diet option. Give enough time to your digestive system to heal it self and you won't have to take any medications. In mean time try to eat healthy food.

  • Avoid syrups, canned food, artificial sweeteners, hydrogenated oils, alcohol, preservatives, additives, food colors.
  • Avoid bottled sauces, dressings, treated dairy products.
  • Prepare your own food with fresh products from local market.
  • Eat fresh fruits bought from farmers market or better from pick your own fruit farms.
  • Go for High vitamin C and High fiber products like lemon and Figs.
  • Eating until you're full is bad habit. Stop eating when your are satisfied or at 80% capacity.

Create a bowl of fruits and avoid any salt or syrup on top. Avoid bananas on day 1
Any fruit of your choice, try picking anything other than a banana and do not repeat a fruit from the morning.
A bowl of watermelon with another fruit of choice. As mentioned before, avoid bananas
A fruit of your choice like apple but this time also include vegetable in your diet
A bowl of mixed fruits and boiled vegetables
A fruit smoothie of the fruit of your choice.
Choice of chicken or beef, grilled with vegetables and sauce
Choice of fruit from apple, orange, pomegranate. Quantity 2

Interesting Hub but fruit can be problematic for many people especially if they include it 3x a day. Fruits can be very high in sugar and even though it's a natural sugar they will still raise blood sugar levels. Many diseases including heart disease have at their core elevated blood sugar levels. I think it was good that you mentioned eating the whole fruit is better but you may want to emphasize that point a little bit more.

I'll definitely add more to whole fruit concept and also add tips for diabetics. You see its not all fruit diet . Its quite balanced and like always i combine different things to keep bad effects in check. I have done loads of calculations for this diet plan and ill continue to perfect it as much as i can.

I see on the table when you said "fresh fruit smoothie with eggs" what do you means by "with eggs" like drink fruit smoothie and have boiled/scamble/fried eggs as breakfast?
