Compared to other teas, Rooibos is free of caffeine which makes it a great replacement beverage for people either eliminating or decreasing their coffee intake. It can be enjoyed at any time of the day and will not cause any unwanted jitters or addictive habits. Have a cup in the evening while unwinding and it will increase the relaxation you are going for. This drink can be enjoyed chilled with ice or hot.

One of the most pleasing aspects of drinking Rooibos tea is the rich amount of minerals it features. It has iron, calcium, potassium, zinc, copper, magnesium, and fluoride (the natural kind). All of these minerals will boost your health and provide excellent nutrition.

Slows Aging Process

Aging is something we all will and must experience, it can however be slowed by living a healthy and active lifestyle. Rooibos tea is abundant in antioxidants which help fight off free radicals. Consuming this beverage regularly can help reduce the effects of aging caused by free radicals while improving the immunity of your body. Extra Help For Weight Control

Drinking plenty of fluids throughout the day can help curb hunger and keep bodily functions running more smoothly. Because of the rich content of minerals and antioxidants found in Rooibos tea, you will be supplied with high quality and natural nutrition as well. Try having a light snack and some tea between meals if you are looking to drop a few pounds. This simple tip can yield great results.

Supports Healthy Bones

Medical studies have found this tea to be helpful in maintaining higher bone density as well as preventing arthritis. This is because Rooibos tea has a high concentration of polyphenols. If you are looking for ways outside of just drinking milk and taking calcium supplements, add this tea often to your diet for an extra boost for bone health.

Stress Reliever

This natural beverage has many positive qualities which can help people who need a little relief from stress. It acts as a mild sedative which can help promote relaxation. If it's a beautiful day outside, brew a cup either hot or cold and enjoy while taking in the weather. It can be a great and simple way to help clear your mind while providing your body with numerous health benefits.

Drink Up

Replacing drinks you may feel like giving up for health reasons such as sodas and other beverages can be done by replacing them with teas. Rooibos has a distinct taste which many companies offer their own versions of. I have tried a couple of organic varieties and was pleased with the tastes, it has a rich and unique flavor which I found enjoyable. Next time you are at the grocery store, pick up a box and give it a try for yourself. Thank you for reading and for more on health and nutrition, please visit my profile or the links below.

Your hub caught my attention as I also published an article on Rooibos. The benefits are worth sharing for all to enjoy. I recently moved back to South Africa and happen to live only a few hours drive from where Rooibos is grown. I now use Rooibos face cream and it is absolutely fabulous!

Have a nice day!

Olde, I just drank my first cup of Rooibos for the day and took the time to also read over your hub again.

Thought I may mention that there are several excellent products made from Rooibos. I mentioned some in my article but their webite lists all. I doubt if the face cream will take wrinkles from a sixty year old face but I can enjoy the dream.

Don't drink Rooibos without a dollop of honey and enjoy!

I love Rooibos tea, especially with peppermint tea, nut milk and a bit of coconut oil. I knew it had a lot of benefits, but didn't know it was effective against stress ... thanks for the useful info.
