how i lost 100 pounds in 3 months

yes i did do this , it really worked, no fake promises but i did do this and it did work, anyone out there can modify it how you want but this is what i did. about 2 years ago while i was working as a night stock man i was diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic , i felt fine but on a whim my mother tested my blood sugar and it was over 350. she was saying something bout i should be in a coma or  something but anyway, after that i felt depressed for a while, anyone would but i decided that i needed to drop some weight because at the time i was weighing in at 436lbs. now i am to a big veggie eater, i tried just makes me gag so i turned to a some what Atkins approach. now this takes a lot of self control, seriously.now this diet is aimed for a

less then 40 carbs a meal and less then 2000 calores a day


Menu:

Breakfest

3 slices of toast, spray butter with simply jif peanut butter and suger free jam( your pick) i did strewberry

or

reduced suger oatmeat ( it's good carb, keepsa you full longer)

and water, remember to drink lots of water or any diet pop/soda what ever you call it where you are

Lunch 

eat to your fill (1/2lbs was my serving) of deli turkey  no buns or anything just straight deli turkey breast , 2-3 cheese sticks and lots of water or diet pop/soda CHECK LABELS!

or

(yes i know they are a bit off)  Soy Burgers with 2% cheese, i know people get a weird look when they hear soy burgers but if you add spices to it like garlic, onion, cumin, pepper

Dinner 

 Soy Burgers with 2% cheese

or

i sopposed what ever you really want to do just do your best to keep it low in carbs and calories

and yes there has to be some exercise, i would suggest walking to start with and move up at your own level and in 3 months i was at 332lbs i know that doesn't really sound better  but i dropped like 6 pants sizes and 2 shirt sizes i was really surprized

I am a 23 year old female and I recently started a new healthy lifestyle. I weighed 320 lbs when I started with my new 140 lbs goal. I lost 20 lbs in 20 days. Now I still have a lot to lose but its one step at a time and you cant get frustrated. Even if you cheat once doesn't mean give up.

I cut out all soda, energy drinks, coffee (cus i don't drink it black)and fast food. I eat a minimum of 5 times a day, don't eat 3 hours before bed and I limited my bread and dairy intake to rare/none. I don't follow the Atkins plan but I do use the products that they provide as a way to eat on the go, cus I am to busy to cook. Make sure to eat a minimum of 1200 calories a day and watch your carb intake.

Careful eating things like lean cuisines and smart ones because they are high in sodium and some of them are pretty high in carbs too! I saw one that had the same amount of calories and carbs as a banana nut muffin and that is not good. Try to eat less than 50 carbs a day.

Using a food journal helped a lot! I use everydayhealth.com and it helps calculate the calories and carbs. It also can track your weight and calculate your BMI and BMR.

Now I HATE going to a gym especially with being over weight, plus I don't like to sweat in public. But exercise is key to lose additional weight after losing the initial weight from changing your diet. Walking is the great first step but incorporate some resistance training as well. I hit a plateau in my weight after the initial 20 lbs and it helped me continue to my goal.

It sounds good but also unrealistic ..I'm 210lbs and wud like to lose about 90lbs but honestly with about 2-3hrs of excersise with a 1200cal diet u can lose up to 25lbs a month and that was about 2.5 month ago nd I feel great at 136lbs :)

I just started DIETING I weighed 289 and said oh no more... and with in a week of just counting calories and measuring foods and a strict excersise program I so far have lost 15 pounds in a week and a half.. I know it will slow down but If i eat healthy and fresh foods and actually cook instead of eating out and stick with my exercise i know i can make it to 140 with in the year.. good luck to you alll

Your diet plan is basically like the cardiac diet instead of the Atkins diet. Individuals that are usually going in for heart surgery or have high blood pressure goes on that type of diet. Congratulation on the weight loss

Fruits, Veggies, plenty of water, and exercise. Do it the old fashioned way. As many diets, fads, pills, bars and shakes as Ive tried, the natural way works best. Best of luck to everyone:)

This is not Atkins. He is misinformed - not stupid. Have some class and realize he was trying to help. Also - you all think you know so much but if you consider his caloric intake to maintain his weight and the calories this diet provides you will see the math says he will most definitely lose weight and a lot of it. The differential between what he eats to maintain 436 and a 2000 calorie diet would mean solid weight loss. Obviously this diet would never work for people who are just overweight and healthy eaters may end up putting on weight. I also question the nutritional value but he was probably eating much worse. Give the guy a break and congratulate him on the loss. I am sure your diet will constantly need to be modified as the weight drops - remember - small steps! Cheers

I lost 97 pounds in 3 months w/ a salad and fruit diet. I also joined a gym and went 3 times a week. I ate only chicken turkey in my salad. Its just up to you if u wonna do the work. Remember to drink plenty of water those kool aid singles are good as well. Those diet meals in the packs or boxes is a no no read your lables please.
