How to become a yoga instructor
Alternative medicine treatments
In the recent years alternative medicine treatments have moved from being something that hippies from the 60s practiced, into treatments that are growing in mainstream medicine. While many people think of yoga as an exercise class at the local gym, in truth, to many it is an alternative medicine that is one of many in a list of holistic medical treatments.
One mainstream University involved in integrative medicine takes traditional western medicine and integrates it with alternative medicine such as yoga. Duke Medicine claims that integrating the "best of Western scientific medicine with proven
complementary therapies to address the whole person—body, mind, spirit,
and community" is the best approach to medical treatment.
