Drinking sufficient amounts of water is good for cleaning the bowel sytsem.
Soak some dry raisin (black) for overnight and slightly mash it in the same water and consume it along with the water first thing in the morning. You can also substitute dry grapes with dry fig or dates.

Drink a glass of warm milk before going to bed daily.If possible, you can make it a habit of eating one teaspoon chyavanprash before drinking milk.
Eat whole wheat foods like bread,chappati,upma,dosa,or even kanji (rice porridge) may ease constipation in some.
