Astonishing New Levels of Relief

Watching The Secret is inspirational. Watching free Tapping/EFT videos that bring instant results is astonishing for those who suffer from pain or stress and feel relief at any level.
Being able to tap into our subconscious minds with the mere tapping of our fingers to do everything from relieving pain to changing ones outlook on how we feel or act in situations, is almost scary.  Having results in these areas no matter how small or large, undoubtedly proves its theory.

When Times Get Tough

We always seem to look for some form of relief when times get tough or life throws us one of those curve balls we didn’t see coming.  Then even though we attribute part of this new found revelation to things taking a turn for the better, we tend to stop, or start slacking off on one or all of  the elements that brought us there, (guilty as charged).  After which if things take a turn for the worse we tend to blame first, (again guilty as charged). It’s a defense mechanism that I’m sure we’ve all used at one point or another, we just don’t like to admit it

Is It Possible?

Being able to delve into the subconscious mind is something at first glance I went, “Yeah, sure, like that’s going to happen”. Having studied (a little) in general and social psychology, and human development I learned that the experts (most) have concluded that some of our habits, reflexes, and life sustaining factors are “built into” the subconscious mind and are something we do not consciously control. These factors are developed and embedded into the subconscious in the first 5-6 years of our lives. Examples being everything from an object coming at you at a fast rate of speed, your arm goes up to block it or you move quickly out of the way to miss it, and if you don’t move quick enough you feel pain. Breathing is another one, even though we can mentally concentrate and change the rate or depth, it is not something we think about for life sustaining purposes.
Is it possible then that we can “tap” into the subconscious by literally tapping on different meditation/vortex points of the human body to alter those feelings and actions that have been so deeply established?

Yes, and an answer I would have never conceived until watching and “actually trying” the videos. At first I was thinking this is just another one of those gimmicks to get me to buy something, and having been in sales, a pitch I usually see coming. One thing I am known for is trying something out before I comment about it. I have learned that prejudging, whether it be people, animals, or new concepts, can leave me without vital information that would improve my life immensely on many different levels. That being said, tossing something aside without examination is not in my best interest, especially if its FREE.


How Does It Work?

Without getting into the scientific and physiological aspects of tapping, it is basically the practice of locating different points of the body (some used in acupuncture) and tapping them to stimulate our subconscious relieving everything from pain, emotional distress of all kinds, and other problem areas in our lives that we would like to improve. Watch the first video which gives a brief description of the different aspects of tapping and a quick demonstration.

Now having tried this in the privacy of my own home, in my bedroom where nobody can see me except the dogs (otherwise someone might think I was certifiably crazy not just a little out there) it worked for me.  Did it relieve a 100% of my pain, stress, etc.?  No, but even if it relieved 30% of my pain and 50% of my stress and gave me a 40% better outlook on my life, is that not a whole lot better than I was 15 minutes before I started?  Of course.  So if I became consistent in this practice and improved gradually, is it worth 10-15 minutes a day just to have my day begin with inspiration instead of desperation, especially when it’s free?  For me, without a doubt, especially in regards to pain management

Relief With Less or No Medication

If you have read any of my other hubs or articles you understand that for me (not everybody) medications are over prescribed for most mental health and physical ailments. This is especially true when using and developing techniques such as yoga, meditation, tapping, relaxation and awareness practices, etc, can be used to improve the problem at a much higher percentage than that of the medication. If these practices are used along with medication they have actually been known to reduce doses and sometimes eliminate the need for the medication all together. So is this something that I will not only practice, but become more educated about? Definitely, and I've already started. Is this something that will help you or a loved one? I don't know, but I do know that trying it won't hurt or cost you anything.

When you think about all the energy in our bodies that manifests itself in so many different ways, yet baffles us when we think of the actual elements and facts that in consists of, it is immeasureable. Finally, doctors are realizing the affects of mental health, our spirit, our outlook towards life, and the results it has on those suffering from cancer, multiple sclerosis, Parkinsons, and other debilitating illnesses are a contributing factor on getting better. The results are substantiated when you look at all the new treatment centers for adults and children and these factors are now a big part of their treatment plan.
