Self Esteem - The Art of Loving Yourself
Learn How to Build Your Confidence and Self Esteem
Loving yourself would seem like an easy thing to do, but for many, it’s a struggle. Women struggle more than men when it comes to self esteem and how to build self esteem, because of media hype, propaganda, and trying to obtain or maintain the perfect body. What is the perfect body anyway? Who has set this standard? Why did you believe them? You set the standard yourself.
Lack of self-confidence, fear, and insecurity are the three biggest killers of a person’s worth. When these three things are missing, then you finally lose self-respect. As a result, you feel unworthy. This will most certainly damage your daily life and your relationships.
In order to build self-esteem, write out ten things you admire and like about yourself. Write out your strengths. Underneath these ten things, then write out the qualities you would like to improve upon. The key is to write what you want, not what you don’t want. Keep the focus on the positive. Do this exercise at least once a month.
Loving yourself is an art that anyone can master. Loving yourself also has to do with giving to others. The two are in direct correlation with each other. Always find ways to feel grateful. Show gratitude and always give to others, even if it’s your time or knowledge.
Finally, make it a habit to consciously focus on positive feelings and remove negative feelings from your mind immediately. They have no place in your life.
