Urban Rebounder Trampoline: Should you be buying a rebounder trampoline?

Updated on October 18, 2011

Why Use Urban Rebounder Trampoline or any other mini-trampoline?

Rebounding has become quite a popular form of exercise - and it's popularity is well deserved. For many people rebounding on a mini-trampoline has become their favorite form of exercise. No wonder - it's easy, it's fun, it's demanding (if you want it to be), and it's a great workout that anyone can do at home or in their backyard - while listening to music or watching television.

You can buy yourself the Urban Rebounder folding trampoline or any other mini trampoline, and perform the urban rebounding workout in the comfort of your own home. Not only is it the first exercise you'll actually look forward to, but it brings the fun without causing pain or stress on your joints. That makes it ideal for athletes, seniors, and anyone else who wants a low-impact, high-efficiency workout. It is also probably the quietest aerobic equipment you have ever used. It may be a great addition to your home gym equipment: elliptical, thread mills, bikes, or adjustable dumbbells, or anything else that you happen to have.

Urban Rebounder Trampoline

If you plan on doing a lot of rebounding exercises, any mini trampoline will do. The only difference between Urban Rebounder and other mini rebounders is that the Urban Rebounder comes with a bar and workout videos.

----Urban Rebounder Trampoline. --- You can buy the Urban Rebounding system on Amazon for about $90. It comes with a stabilizing bar for vigorous exercises, and six motivational workouts on DVD. The workout on the DVD is the same routine that's used in nearly 5,000 health clubs worldwide, including Bally's, Crunch, Equinox, Gold's, and the YMCA, to name a few. The Urban Rebounder trampoline provides a weight capacity of 300 pounds, folds up for easy storage - a convenient feature, and carries a one-year warranty.

----NEEDAK Trampoline. --- Another great option is NEEDAK trampoline. It costs more (about $215 on Amazon), but judging from the reviews from the users - it's definitely worth the extra money. If you know you will be using your rebounder a lot, it may be worth it to spend a little more and get a great piece of equipment. Then you can just get a DVD Urban Rebounder workout for additional 20$.

Mini Trampoline Exercises and Urban Rebounder Workout

If you already have a mini trampoline - then just jumping up and down is a fun exercise to do. If you need more ideas, you can search online - there are many videos that you can find on youtube and elswhere, that should get you started.

If you want something more demanding, you should check out the so-called urban rebounding workout. It was created by J.B. Berns--a practicing martial artist. This workout has its lineage in martial arts and core abdominal postures, giving you a non-stop abdominal workout that is sure to just melt away the fat and inches from your waist, strengthen your core muscles, and improve balance and coordination like no other exercise.

Some of the benefits of rebounding include:

  • improves circulation
  • tones and tightens your muscles
  • circulates more oxygen to the tissues
  • stimulates metabolism and increase metabolic rate
  • increases your energy levels
  • eases menstrual fatigue, and discomfort

I won't talk about the so-called benefits of "cellular exercise." Because of the up-and-down movement of rebounding, apparently the lymph gets moving and this helps to detoxify and slow-down aging. I'm not sure if this is true, but it sounds great.

For me, the real benefits of rebounding is that it's something you can do inside on a rainy day. Plus, it can be a great cardio-endurance-toning workout if you know what to do with the rebounder. It definitely beats most other weight loss methods, and is much cheaper than those stiff liposuction prices :-). Can probably help you get rid of cellulite, too.
