Paleo Diet the Natural Way for Good Health and Natural Weight Loss

The Paleo Diet is the diet consumed by our great grandfathers during the Paleolithic age and the benefits are numerous. This diet is also called as the caveman diet as this was the diet that sustained our human ancestors during their caveman lives. This diet plan designed for natural weight loss was given by Gastroenterologist Walter L. Voegtlin makes us believe that the diet taken by the cavemen is the key to our health in the present days of contaminated and junk foods we fill our tummies with.

The Paleo diet prescribes a way of losing weight by adapting to a different diet plan. This diet makes you eat what the cavemen ate in the Paleolithic era and this is the diet not created by the modern day health and diet experts but by the Mother Nature Herself. This is the diet that has contributed to the health of the human race for thousands of years without the modern day diseases. When you change over to the Paleo diet you have to make some changes in your lifestyle. This is proved that it is able to give the required weight loss and enhanced level of health and well being by restricting certain types of food from your diet.

What kind of food does the Paleo Diet consist of?

The Caveman diet is as effective as other diets like the Blood Group Diet, South Beach Diet, Atkins Diet, Jenny Craig diet etc. This Stone Age diet helps you make the right selection of food groups as used by the Stone Age, pre-agriculture age people were able to live with higher levels of health than we do today.

The Paleo diet is made of

  • Vegetables
  • Meat
  • Fish
  • Nuts
  • Fruit
  • Roots

Essentially you are eating only real whole foods, except for an occasional sauce. So in essence you are getting rid of preservatives, hidden sugars, sodium, additives, and artificial flavoring Cutting these out you are eliminating necessary toxins.

Some of the benefits people have experienced are:

  • reduced bloating
  • sustained weight loss
  • improved sleep and higher energy levels
  • clearer skin and healthier looking hair
  • mental clarity
  • and much more.....

When you opt for the Paleolithic diet you will be taking a low carbohydrate high protein diet that is free of calorie counting. As such this is one of the diets that do not require you to do any exercises to lose weight.

The caveman diet restricts foods like refined salt, sugar, oil and beverages that make you feel deprived of all the tastes and flavors you are used to all these days. So you have to induct this type of diet in a gradual manner. The Paleo diet is good for curing conditions like heart diseases, acne, diabetes etc. It helps in detoxifying your body and purifies blood and due to the addition of more protein rich foods, natural fresh vegetables and fruits your skin and hair are supplied with all the required keratin that leaves you with a shining, soft look and feel.

Yah I fully agree Jakkadan. I used to eat unhealthily and once I started eating raw foods I felt felt so great. It's never too late to start telling people though.

Thank you Sarearnbd, I tell all my friends so far so that's a start!
